Notes on edits[edit]

Quick note on edits - one police accusation printed in one newspaper article does not constitute "widely considered". The accusation is not plausible as the ALF is a decentred network and not a formal organisation, and as such does not have a pyramid (anyone who commits an action within ALF guidelines can claim to be acting on behalf of the ALF). Either the police don't have any idea what they're talking about and like to imagine horizontal networks to be similar in form to their own organisations, or this kind of nonsense is for propaganda purposes only.

Someone should also hunt down the details of the evidence and accusations - the current version is too biased towards the state's side. The explosives conviction for instance (the main reason for the long sentence?), I'd heard was for possession of fertiliser. Ditto the "contempt" conviction - the version I've heard is that he responded after being verbally abused by an opponent. The laws used in each case (contempt, conspiracy) are pretty much bogus in any case, the former being convicted without due process and in any case being a thought crime, the latter having been repeatedly abused as a way to convict people who couldn't be accused of any substantive crime, e.g. the GANDALF case. Something should be added about mistreatment in prison as well.

I have removed the entire Harlan Interfauna section as it is incorrect and based on a misreading of the book From Dusk 'til Dawn. Most of the book is written in the first person by Keith, but the section about the 1990 raid on Harlan Interfauna is a several-page quote written by John Curtin in the first person. So it was John, not Keith who was convicted and imprisoned for this. Lurch23 (talk) 21:54, 14 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have deleted the sentence about Keith being sent to prison for an attack on a fox hunter's property in 1992. I think this is a misunderstanding based on the riot at Alan Summersgill's house soon after hunt sab Mike Hill had died under the wheels of his vehicle. Keith was found not guilty of this offence. New World Order Conspiracy Theories[edit]

I'm surprised that this article seems to make no reference at all to Keith's apparent obsession with the so-called 'New World Order' - the secret cabal that supposedly runs the world - and their alleged plans for the human race.

Having listened to an interview with him on The Tommy Boyd Show on the now defunct Play Radio UK from December 2008 (available here at approx 1:00:00), this particular subject, along with conspiracy theories related to 9/11 and the British Royal Family among other things, would appear to be the most important issue he believes the world should know about - more so even than his animal activism.

He cites David Icke as an influence, and a lot of the theories he mentions seem to broadly follow Icke's world view. Much of this is outlined on Keith's own website here. Conrad1on (talk) 12:39, 26 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This page on the Talon Conspiracy website mentions that Mann seemed to have fallen into the conspiracy theory black hole of David Icke and lost his credibility amongst the animal rights people.
