Untitled[edit]
My first visit to Kayville was in 1939. My mother was born there - my grandparents John & Micah Marion homesteaded two parcels in Kayville. They had four children, Peter, JOseph, Paul and Anna. I loved the old wooden buildings in town, the building which we watched movies, and the store across the street that sold candy. I attended a small one room school while on vacation. All roads were dirt with deep ditches - frightening when it rained. I still love the wheat blowing in the wind - so beautiful. My grandparents retired to Regina, while my uncle Paul remained on the farm. I wish I could return to those days. If anyone remembers my family, please contact me. nstokes6@yahoo.com nstokes
