Notability[edit]

Marginally notable as chief of staff of SS cavalry brigade perpetrating the Holocaust on the Eastern Front in 1941: link.

Redirecting for now, unless there's desire to rewrite the article using RS. Please also see a note at MilHist Talk Archives for background behind the redirect.

To elaborate upon the Knight's Cross, but to skip over Hermann Fegelein's deputy and "closest aide"'s (H. Pieper) involvement in the Holocaust is nothing but a cover up. RS are scarce, however, because the main attention is focused upon Fegelein.--Assayer (talk) 19:57, 12 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Assayer: I see that the article has been "unredirected" by an IP with no other contributions. Would you support restoring the redirect to list? K.e.coffman (talk) 00:48, 4 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, albeit reluctantly. I think that he was important and is possibly notable in a Wikipedian sense, but, as I said, as of today RS are scarce.--Assayer (talk) 20:32, 4 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
