whistle register[edit]

how is she a whistle register singer. shes very talented but i've never heard her sing high enough. the highest i've heard was a 5th octave note. it was pretty high and for that i don't doubt her talent but i still would like to know.

In two songs that she sang with the group Xscape, Kandi accessed the whistle register. She hit (and sustained) a D6 in "Understanding", and in "My Little Secret", she hit an Eb6.

sorry, but in "understanding" that note is a full on G6!!! D6 my ass! Beyonce's note in "Emotions" was a D6. If you compare the two as I have that note is considerably higher. A G6 is my highest note and i had trouble hitting it so maybe it's even a G#6.

Kandi Burruss → Kandi (entertainer) – I suggest this page be moved provided for by songs from other articles who also goes by "Kandi" because of the evident difference in popularity. Due to recent listings and more people will be Google searching for the terms "Kandi" and will not be getting any hits because the singer is very rarely referred to by "Kandi Burruss". Unhelpful comment: I know Kandi Burruss via Real Housewives and refer to her as "Kandi Burruss"; I had no idea she was ever called simply "Kandi". Oppose: She may release music as just Kandi, but a majority of the news outlets use her full name so I would argue that Kandi Burruss should be retained per WP:COMMONNAME.
