I was thinking it should be edited to remove a lot of redundancy (a lot of things are mentioned more than once, such as Hidetsugu attacking the academy)

And, I wondered if I could add some pictures, of Toshi from the card and Hidetsugu, if I'm within my fair use rights to do so.

Someone should put a real spoiler warning in the section marked O-Kagachi. Not just in bold Spoiler!!!!

It's not really a spoiler, the thing about Konda and the That which was Taken was not revealed at the end of the third book, it was revealed in the first by Mochi when Michiko is in the cave with Toshi. The snare 07:04, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Are oni kami?[edit]

I've read the books, but it's hard to discern exactly if they are kami, all kami are spirits, but all spirits may not be kami(at least in kamigawa. It says on the flavor text of midnight covenant that "Not all mortals fought the kami, The ogres revered the oni, while some humans made pacts based upon empty promises." Thus implying they are different. But anyway, if O'Kagachi is the spirit of the whole spirit realm and they are demon spirits, according to some cards, then they would be a part of him, and why he defeated the all-consuming so easy. 98.217.147.41 (talk) 00:15, 4 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Removed Speculation[edit]

I removed the part about Hidetsugu becoming a planeswalker for replacing the All-Consuming. Kyodai and Michiko replace O-Kagachi too, I don't think they're planewalkers. State only the facts

And I also removed the part about Hidetsugu destroying the academy. He severely damages it and wins the battle, kills almost all the staff and the Dragon, but it never says the academy crumbles into the water. It's still there when Konda arrives and sees Hidetsugu go to the Honden of the All-Consuming. The snare 06:27, 21 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"God River"? What?[edit]

Hey, correct me if I'm wrong...but "Kamigawa" means "spirit side", "or "god side", but gawa is "side" as in this side of the river...kawa means "river". No dictionary has said that river can be gawa and yes, I do know some Japanese. EG

When used as part of a name or compound word, kawa can change to gawa. 神河 could indeed be pronounced Kamigawa, but 河 means river, not side. 神側 (also pronounced Kamigawa) would mean god/spirit side. Either way, the current text of the article seems to be incorrect. Is there any official source for 神河 being the kanji? How do we know it's not 上側 or 神川 ?
