KJ ApaK. J. Apa – Per house style WP:SPACEINITS. Sources are inconsistent in usage, and no definitive statement from individual on a preferred style, so cannot be treated as a self-published name change. --woodensuperman 15:52, 26 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose Per MOS:INITIALS: "Use initials in a personal name only if the name is commonly written that way." If there is no consistent usage between reliable sources, then the current WP:CONSENSUS of almost two years is what should be used. -- AlexTW 15:56, 26 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Some sources do commonly use initials[1][2], so that part of the guideline has been met. --woodensuperman 15:57, 26 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose – self-published name change: https://www.instagram.com/kjapa/ and https://twitter.com/kj_apa seem like two clear and definitive statements from the individual. Since these are both verified accounts, the styling displayed (i.e. KJ Apa) is a clear intentional choice by said individual and more than enough to qualify as a statement as to how to render the name. —Joeyconnick (talk) 17:17, 26 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose per above editors reasoning. Brocicle (talk) 17:44, 26 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support, Keneti James Apa is his name, K.J. are initials. We have a consistent MOS here which shouldn't trail around Twitter. In ictu oculi (talk) 21:30, 26 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, a MOS that supports such variations as CCH Pounder, k.d. lang, and JR Bourne. What's your point? —Joeyconnick (talk) 21:48, 26 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. This is the form used by the individual himself and appears to be more common than K. J. Nohomersryan (talk) 22:00, 26 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nom and our usual style guidelines. Dicklyon (talk) 04:32, 27 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
    • @Dicklyon: Can you remind me which style guideline this is? Is it the same one that supports the above examples? -- AlexTW 05:38, 27 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Under “Personal life”, subsection “Moata’a rule” please change - “…Moata'a in New Zealand.” To “…Moata'a in Samoa.” There is no village of Moata’a in New Zealand and the reference refers to Samoa. Shoulera (talk) 22:15, 29 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
