This is such incomprehensible English that I can only assume it was translated from some other language by someone who has very little idea of how English works. The other language versions of the article read "l'han estudiat alguna vegada" ("have studied it at some point" in Catalan) and "iam iom studis ĝin" ("have once studied some of it" in Esperanto) - the Bulgarian and Finnish versions don't mention this issue, and there are no other versions. The word order in the meaningless English mistranslation ("ever little") suggests that the translation was from Esperanto ("iam iom"). I propose this be replaced by my translation of the Catalan version ("have studied it at some point").
