Untitled[edit]

I've got this article on my to-do list. To conform with the article on Joseph's son, I propose to move this one to "Joseph Beecham" without all the baronet verbiage, if that's OK with other editors. Tim riley (talk) 15:02, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Title includes "Sir"[edit]

Shouldn't it dispense with the "Sir"? All other knights and baronets I'm aware of exclude the word "Sir" in the titles of their articles. -- ♬ Jack of Oz[your turn] 01:04, 26 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Extensive update[edit]

A very long time ago I planned a major expansion of this article, and then mislaid all my notes. I have now found them, and intend to upload them soon. I agree the article probably needs renaming. MinorProphet (talk) 16:13, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I have updated the bibliography in preparation for my update which is at User:MinorProphet/Draft subpages/Joseph Beecham, and which still needs a few tweaks. It is my intention to incorporate a large number of {{sfn}}s into the existing referencing style. This will conflict with wp:citevar. Consensus should be reached, and I welcome your comments within, say, seven days. MinorProphet (talk) 22:42, 20 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed rename[edit]

Although many WP articles about baronets correspond with the general title "Sir X, 1st Baronet", the article Thomas Beecham (Beecham's better-known son, the 2nd Bt.) goes against this practice. I therefore propose to re-name this article Joseph Beecham. MinorProphet (talk) 22:42, 10 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
