Banking[edit]

I remember Dr Steinberg mentioning during the coda to one of his excellent lectures that he started out on a career in banking before (I suspect quite quickly) he saw the light at morphed into an historian. I can't help thinking this early experience might be relevant to one or two of the more recent finance related appointments mentioned in this entry, but I don't have ready access to any relevant source.
