the quotes in the article[edit]

...does anyone have the sourcing information? - i've removed the 'citequote' tags which i don't think help much, and i've left the quotes in because they're uncontroversial and accurate, but it would be great to get a decent source... Purples 01:07, 29 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Soprano sax[edit]

In the lede it's stated that Hodges "refused to play soprano after 1946," yet the inline citation reference states 1940. Why the six year difference?

Also, no where is it mentioned why he stopped playing the soprano sax. Anybody know why?

Just curious. 2600:8800:785:9400:C23F:D5FF:FEC4:D51D (talk) 10:51, 26 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Discography without Ellington[edit]

It's stated that "The two men's discographies thus match almost exactly, bar exceptions listed above and in this section." which isn't true at all, Johnny Hodges made a lot of recordings with "Johnny Hodges and His Orchestra" starting in 1937.
