The article doesn't mention the fact that John Paterson started the Bible Societies in all the Scandinavian countries he resided in.

Also, worth mentioning is the story about him directing the attention of his friend James Finlayson to the hydro-electric and industrial potential of the Tammer Rapids nearby present day city of Tampere. Consequently that was the start of the industry of that major industrial city of Tampere in Finland. The present day fruit of that chain of events is the present day tele-communications giant, Nokia.
