Creation[edit]

I have created this article by merging Sir John Pakington, (KB) and Sir John Packington, both of which were about the same person. The latter was tagged "unreferenced", which means that some of the material in this one is also unreferenced. The latter stated:

In 1640 (or perhaps 1641), Pakington received from Henry Hunt a translation from the French of a treatise penned by Henry, duc de Rohan. The treatise, "Interest of the Princes and States of Christendom," greatly influenced the terms of political debate in the Civil War and afterward.

This cannot refer to the subject of this article and probaly refers to the Sir John Pakington, 2nd Baronet, but I leave some one who knows to add that (with a citation) to the proper article. Peterkingiron (talk) 17:54, 28 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
