A post in this thread confirms that John Nightingale died in 1980 at age 37. The person who posted says John was his Dad: http://www.britmovie.co.uk/forums/british-television/12217-what-became-john-nightingale-2.html

This is probably true, but I question whether we can take an unconfirmed statement like this as gospel. Although, if John Nightingale's family are reading this, give them my sympathies. PatGallacher (talk) 16:25, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
