Especially as you have not notified the author of John Floyer (cricketer) that you want a merge. The cricket content of the MP article must be expanded to include all of the detail in the cricket article. In future when you propose something like this, please make sure you advise all interested parties and projects via their talk pages as otherwise you may achieve a solo consensus, which is not in keeping with site policy on such matters.
