Potentially libellous[edit]

"Contentious material about living persons that is unsourced or poorly sourced must be removed immediately from the article and its talk page, especially if potentially libellous." As per the guideline quoted above, I am going to remove the sentence fragment "though he knew it would kill millions of poeple" until/unless I can confirm this is factual information based on the source quoted. I am striking the following sentence and citation: 'Former Eli Lilly CEO Randall Tobias, in his book Put the Moose on the Table, states that Lechleiter was leader of "principal actors" in "winning regulatory approval, getting the best possible official language on the label", though he knew it would kill millions of poeple for Zyprexa'. Tobias, Randall; Tobias, Todd (2003). Put the Moose on the Table: Lessons in Leadership from a CEO's Journey through Business and Life. Indiana University Press. p. 194. ISBN 978-0-253-11011-4. There is nothing in the material cited that suggests that Lechleiter or others knew of possible dangers. Also, Lechleiter's connection is overemphasized in the sentence above. The relevant sections of the book read as follows: (pages 193-194) "The heavyweight team for Zyprexa was formed in January 1995 under the leadership of Dr. Gary Tollefson. Dr. Tollefson gave his team a goal of achieving regulatory submission in all our biggest markets by October 1995... Along with [400] mandatory boxes, Lilly's regulatory team submitted an electronic version on twenty-three CD-ROMS, along with software to make it faster and easier for the FDA reviewers to use... They submitted the new drug application in September 1995... Within just days, they accomplished a task that had once taken years. Novel applications of information technology continued to be critical to the next chapter of the Zyprexa story -- winning regulatory approval, getting the best possible official language on the label indicating the approved use of the drug. Along with the heavyweight team, the principal actors in this part of the drama were the people in Lilly's then newly created global regulatory group under Dr. John Lechleiter." This passing mention is the only mention of Lechleiter's name in the book, and the author clearly emphasizes that the notable part of the "heavyweight team" effort was the (at that time) novel use of electronic resources in the submission.
