Pronunciation of name?[edit]

Is it like the element? —Keenan Pepper 20:29, 5 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Here in Austria we use the same pronounciation of his family name and of the chemical element, so yes, the pronunciation is the same as the German pronounciation of the chemical element. In particular, the "a" is like in "park", not like in "ray". --NeoUrfahraner 09:22, 7 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The pronunciation given on this English Wikipedia page is wrong. No mathematician says his name with a long "ay" sound as in the chemical element. Somebody should please correct this. 78.55.103.2 (talk) 12:38, 8 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Image available - needs help of German translator[edit]

There is an Image of Radon used in the German wikipedia: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bild:Johann_Radon.png. Would someone with the skills be kind enough to transfer, translate the German, confirm the license and add to the English wikipedia? We could then link to this article. As I understand, the corresponding license is {{Attribution}}. I just asked at http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vorlage_Diskussion:Bild-by#nur_zur_Notiz to verify this. --NeoUrfahraner 12:54, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
FYI: it seems that http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bild:Johann_Radon.png is not properly licensed and will be deleted soon. --194.138.12.146 06:06, 26 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I added a picture recently made by Arved. --NeoUrfahraner 09:19, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
A (long belated) thank you. --Asperal 23:09, 29 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
