Copyright violation?[edit]

This article started out and has remained mostly copied from the Hof website. Some words omitted true, but what's there is copied word-for-word. The Hof article is certainly a resource, but I think needs to be digested a bit more, and if copying is to be done, it is probably better to turn to the two public domain sources, 1911 Encyclopædia Britannica and New International Encyclopedia, meager as they are compared to Hof. It seems best to continue to rate it as a stub until that is fixed. Bob Burkhardt (talk) 02:07, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

So I removed most of the material that seemed directly copied from the Hof site. On closer inspection, there was a significant amount that did seem digested enough to leave alone, and I patched in material from NIE. EB1911 seems to have problems. The Klingel name I think is a typo. Klengel seems like it must be Johann Christian Klengel who has an ADB biography and a page on the German Wikipedia. He was teaching in Dresden during the years in question. I couldn't turn up anyone likely with the name Klingel. Bob Burkhardt (talk) 03:23, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
