Proper Discography Changes[edit]

AMALGAM DIGITAL PRESENTS: MOOD MUZIK 3 WE GOT THE REMIX was _not_ an official Joe Budden release, it was put out by the label without any endorsement from Joe Budden. He does not consider it part of his discography. The same is said for THE ALBUM BEFORE THE ALBUM, that was a bootleg release not endorsed by Joe Budden.

Desert Storm[edit]

Joe Budden was never signed to Desert Storm Officially. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.182.146.18 (talk) 18:05, 27 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

On Top Music[edit]

Joe Budden is signed to and president of On Top Entertainment. This label is a subsidary of Desert Storm Records. It is ran and owned by Webb (Desert Storm president) and Nitti. —Preceding unsigned comment added by OnTopMusic (talkcontribs) 20:00, 25 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

JOE BUDDEN HAS STARTED ANOTHER LABEL, HE IS NO LONGER WORKING WITH WEBB, NITTI, DESERT STORM.

Lyricist[edit]

I removed the "masterpiece" and "genius" parts. This article should still be rewritten. JesseRafe 15:53, 26 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Biased removed[edit]

I cleaned it up the best I could.

He's not dead, is he?

Added Artists[edit]

Added LL Cool J(check the "Focus" remix) to the opening list of artists Joe has worked with. I guess if anyone else has any additions/deletions to make, state them here. ThePacMan 17:57, 7 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict With Saigon[edit]

He Has had a problem with Saigon, In an episode of BET's Rap City he did a freestyle, during the rap he used a lyric saying "Hit and run like Saigon" refering to the Saigon and Mobb Deep situation on which Saigon punched Prodigy of Mobb Deep two times and then ran out the club of which they were performing at. Saigon then wrote a blog on MySpace talking about the Mobb Deep situation and the Joe Budden situation stating that if he were to catch him he would "beat his ass" Joe then discussed the situation on a radio station saying he was down with whatever Saigon was willing to do to either Rap Battlin' or with fists. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.182.251.107 (talk) 04:28, 15 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Beef with Def Jam[edit]

I'm pretty sure he raps in a few tracks about having trouble with his record label, and he's pretty descriptive about it. I think it might be relevant to show that he's outspoken.Lincoln187 06:52, 20 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Health Issues[edit]

In one track (I think in his Mood Muzik mixtape) he says that he has a serious throat problem. He says something like "I need steriod shots in my ass just to record" and he's descriptive about all this as well. Does anyone have any additional detail about this?Lincoln187 06:52, 20 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah I know about that. I also remember coming across a segment in a DVD where he discusses the topic of his health and how its affecting his ability to record. SomekidfromCT 14:22, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

He was talking about when he lost his voice. If you listen to the song he says that right before the line you quoted that he had lost his voice before trying to record his album.

Fair use rationale for Image:JoeBudden.jpg[edit]

Image:JoeBudden.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 06:55, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Battle with Ransom[edit]

I added the current battle with Ransom the best I could. Would appreciate a clean up of that section. Must be relevant if JB already recorded 2 responses. —Preceding unsigned comment added by SomekidfromCT (talkcontribs) 19:05, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

ransom's real name is Randy Nicols if anybody wants to make a page72.226.157.22 (talk) 02:48, 2 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Discography[edit]

The discography needs to be moved to a seprate page. Also the mixtapes need to be separated from the actual studio albums. 209.226.251.188 (talk) 20:09, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why?[edit]

Why would you put a discography in its own page, unless it's really big? Is that just the standard for Wikipedia? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 148.87.1.172 (talk) 16:40, 16 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Protected?[edit]

WTF? Is there a reason I can edit other articles but not this one? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Swiffy (talkcontribs) 09:30, 11 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Home Town?[edit]

I came here curious where he came from, but that info doesn't seem to be in the article. Anybody happen to know his home town, and where he lives now?

Joe Budden vs Ransom[edit]

Tddt456 (talk) 04:51, 30 March 2009 (UTC)Excuse me if i sound mad but you dudes are blind. the wikipedia network never looks into the under ground circuit. I can look this stuff up on youtube or google and find out whats going on. There's not a lot posted about Capone, Uncle Murda or Joe Budden. Ransom doesn't even have a page. Stack Bundles was the most espected member of desert storm but fab's page is bigger.[reply]

Joe Budden and Ransom are beefin'. On his album Mood Muzik 3, he made a song with Fabolous, Ransom and Hitchcock. Joe Budden, Ransom and Hitchcock are the only members in A-Team but they disband. Even though the song is called "Family Reunion", A-Team is NOT back together. Joe asked Ran if he could spit a verse on the song and he did, but Joe released the song before Ran could hear to see if he sounded okay. Ran was unhappy at this but thats not the start of the beef. A lot of Ran's friends called him and asked him if A-Team was really back together, Ran said no. Ran made a song called "Kid Brother" dissing Joe using the beat from the song "Big Brother" by Kanye West from his album Graduation. In the song Ransom describes how A-Team started...

"gotta tiny buzz so the street started to say things/

so Joe say's fu*k it let's start up this A-Team/ Wow, that should be the start of some great things/ Till "Pump It Up" came out and he's started to make green/ Damn, I think he's started a fake dream/ So Ima cut the grass cause I know what a snake means/ 3 solo artists(Joe, Ran, Hitch) now 2 solo artists(Ran & Hitch)/ he left us together lets see who go hardest (yea)"

If you look it up you only see that Ran and Hitch are members of A-Team. Joe was a member before he released his song Pump It Up and Ran is upset because he shiniong without giving props to his rap group. Joe responded with the song "Heart of The City" where he explains how the beef started from his point of view. Ran responded with "Somebody Gunna Die Tonight" where he states that because Joe's popularity, he doesn't visit his home town anymore but gives them shoutouts. The song uses a beat from 50 Cent's song "I'm Supposed To Die Tonight". Joe responded by making a song named after Ran's upcoming album "Ransom Note". Neither have posted a song in a while because they everybody is trying to find out how it started. Right when everything calms down, Ran calls Joe out twice.

And I just wanna point out, if you listen to No Introduction and other freestyles by Ransom. You can conclude that Ransom is a better freestylist than Joe. I'm not gonna front, Jadakiss is my favorite rapper and I myself confess that Ransom is better than him. also i looked on youtube that The Game made a diss song to Joe. I dont no if its old or new but somebody should look into. and if you aint into gangsta rap than dont worry about making pages for gangster rappers cause there's a lot of stuff to teach you to make it all make sense. If you don't know now then you prbly never will. Just let me make the pages cause it takes all day to explain rap to my friends.

Mood Muzik proposals[edit]

I have two suggestions/proposals.

1. Each "Mood Muzik" mixtape be paired with it's respective "Mood Muzik" retail album.
2. Instead of having separate articles for each "Mood Muzik", they should be merged into one article that encompasses the whole series.
Example: Clipse's We Got It 4 Cheap

Joe Budden's Sikh Instagram post[edit]

Many people will know about the Intagram pic of an elderly Sikh at an airport carrying a bag posted by Joe Budden and that he said with the caption "Not on my watch homeboy!". Here he has been accused of referring to Sikhs as terrorists and of racism. According to the media, at first he was unapologetic but later removed the pic and apologized after getting a lot of criticism. Shall this be added to the article? KahnJohn27 (talk) 12:25, 31 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Probably not - see WP:UNDUE and WP:RS. That make sense? Λυδαcιτγ 07:01, 2 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, definitely WP:UNDUE. Regardless, how often do rappers tweet/instagram/facebook controversal things, we cannot report every single instance in a encyclopedia biography. STATic message me! 07:07, 2 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah but it's a racist tweet. KahnJohn27 (talk) 11:59, 3 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Anything that causes international outrage cannot be an unimportant incident. And if such an incident is not incident is not mentioned due to WP:UNDUE then why has Joe Budden having spent a night in jail due to parking ticket been mentioned? KahnJohn27 (talk) 13:38, 4 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Seems notable to me. I never even heard of this guy until the recent controversy regarding the tweet came to light. ScienceApe (talk) 14:14, 13 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
