True he did not have an article in the "Internet", but there are many notable people that you can not find information here. He was well known in Haiti and that is enough reason to create this page for people like me that were looking for information on Haitian rappers. In these country after dead is when they give recognition. So he was well-known in Haiti. And who gives a fuck if he wasn't known outside? Are you saying anyone who is only known in Haiti ain't good enough for this website huh? Let me just say a few words of possible reconciliation here. When deciding whether a biographical article should stay or be deleted, it does not matter if someone is not well known outside of their country or is not well known among English speakers. What is important is that they are well known within a certain society or country. In the case of Jimmy 0, it should be established that he was a well known artist in Haiti and this is done by providing sources that support this idea. I think what would help in the debate over this article are some sources that date from before the quake that establish Jimmy O's status as a well known music figure in Haiti. For the user who made the above comments under the IP address 86.40.215.130, it would help if you could provide some of these sources. They don't need to be in English and they don't even need to be internet sources, but it would help to have them. David Straub (talk) 03:19, 16 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I just looked up Jimmy O on google using his full name Jean "Jimmy O." Alexandre and his passing is being widely reported. It looks like we are passing the threshhold for notability, he does appear to have been a well known figure in Haiti. David Straub (talk) 07:07, 16 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I guess you can say that the widely report of his passing has to do with the sad circumstances of it and the relation with Wyclef Jean. He was in fact so well known, that he only received an article after this death in an earthquake. Not one person who lives in Haiti or is familiar with Haitian culture could have possibly created it before. Who are we kidding? -- Erroneuz1 (talk) 01:04, 17 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Member of Barikad Crew?[edit]

I read the following in this article: "Jimmy O was part of the Barikad Crew with Wyclef Jean". I doubt this for both Wyclef and Jimmy O. In any case the given source isn't a source for this fact.
