I'm pulling the description of Kennealy as Morrison's partner from 1969-1971 from the infobox, seeing as the citations are stronger for Courson for the same period. The Kennealy Wikipedia article, in my view, needs review and serious help. Jusdafax (talk) 08:34, 30 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

There is very little third-party sourcing for Werebelow. Almost all of it is self-claims to small, local papers. I think her role in his life is vastly over-emphasised as it is. Kennealy Morrison on the other hand has plenty of third-party sourcing and witnesses. What she also has is bizarre stalker/haters who have put libel on the web and lies on the talk page of her bio. That stuff is not usable. - CorbieVreccan 20:14, 30 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Courson and Morrison had a known open relationship. The overlap with Kennealy is not an issue. As for Werbelow, Manzarek is quoted in the article saying, "She was Jim's first love," sourced in the same St. Petersburg Times article. Combined with the other citations, there's adequate corroboration for the existence of their relationship. Werbelow's self-report gives the years 1962-1965. A 3rd party source, a book The Doors FAQ, which appears reliable, gives the start date as 1961. I would say there's adequate verified reliable sources for all three relationships to be listed. I went back over the sourcing on Werbelow. There were a couple cites there I either hadn't seen or had forgotten. I agree that there's adequate third-party sourcing for what we have on her now. - CorbieVreccan 19:01, 1 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Ok to add Werbelow back into the infobox then? Even though her self-report gives 1962-1965, I'm inclined to go with the 3rd party source and say 1961-1965. Goffman82 21:53, 1 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think high school or college girlfriends belong in the infobox. It would be setting a 'pedia precedent not followed in other articles. Courson was a long-term partner, considered commonlaw by some, and he and Kennealy had a ceremony. Both were adult partnerships. Both have been given adult partner status by biographers for decades now. I think that's the consensus we should maintain. - CorbieVreccan 20:43, 2 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Ah ok, I'm not familiar with infobox norms. I'll leave things as is. Goffman82 21:18, 2 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Death

Please move the section of his death to a dedicated one. This suggestion arrives after most biographies here in Wikipedia had a dedicated section for the death of the addressed person. Moreover, it was dificult to me find the Jim's decease details. Jcammmmm (talk) 15:15, 7 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Jcammmmm - It already has its own section, clearly listed in the contents - Jim Morrison#July 3, 1971: Death - Arjayay (talk) 15:29, 7 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Who brought the record to Jim Morrison's father?

This sentence, added in 2010 by RonBurgundy3, is not supported by the provided citation, which doesn't mention who brought the record. Despite this, several online media outlets, some of dubious reliability, have repeated this sentence without verification; all the sources I could find were published after 2010.

A reliable source published before 2010 should be added, or the sentence regarding who brought the album to his father should be removed, per WP:CIRCULAR. Thibaut (talk) 10:43, 19 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Someone on frwiki found a reliable source, I have added it here. Thibaut (talk) 13:53, 19 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
