Seems this page is only addressing a race issue. This article should be about a school. Needs cleanup or possible request for speedy deletion.

This issue is very critical and I believe should deserve its own page listed as a current event and links to and from this page. Therefore, I am splitting the two pages. Jstanierm 13:53, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What does the tree image add to this article since the referring page points out that it is not the tree involved in the dispute? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 219.90.218.122 (talk) 10:02, 5 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think you have a point - it is just a tree if it's not *the* tree. Anyone else? --Millard73 22:36, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted the tree; it is not the one in question.Parkwells (talk) 16:54, 7 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Summarize briefly[edit]

The case is much too large and complex to be treated fully here. This is an article on one small high school and it should not be dominated by these events. Refer to the main event of the arrests and controversy, and refer readers back to the main article for the full story on the Jena Six and related events. Otherwise it will be impossible to keep this accurate; it should be a brief overview and not get into all the details of the charges, trials, protests, etc.Parkwells (talk) 16:54, 7 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
