Jean le Tellier English?[edit]

Your article states he is English, but the name looks suspiciously French, he could have been a citizen who was conversant and co-operative with the English. His antecedents worth investigating. It would be more correct to describe him as a "Member of the English parliament" in the meantime, which I am about to do. Jerningham's description of him as "the best Englishman born in Tournai" may have been metaphorical, in similar vein to a modern British cabinet minister's description of his Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher as "the best man in the cabinet."
