Translated and Q about copyvio[edit]

I have translated this, as best I can; previously it was a machine translation. I am still a bit unsure how this stands with copyvio since it is a straight translation of the French (errors excluded). That being said, it was before, just it had not been hand-translated (or wikified).

The middle sentence about the octogenarian I still can't work out what it is trying to say, in particular if Ménage is the name of a person, which would make sense in the context but I don't know who he is, so have translated as Royal Household, assuming that being in caps it so means, but then the octogenarian remains anonymous (and English WP gives this as maison du Roi, not ménage)

Never mind, it is [{Gilles Ménage]].
