First Blackpool goal[edit]

Just to confirm that JET's first goal was scored at Watford on 22 August 2009. The official match report on the Blackpool F.C. states it was his goal. Alex Baptiste was incorrectly credited with the goal by the match announcer and sites like Soccerbase have still yet to correct their stats. This was confirmed in an email from Blackpool F.C. club secretary Matt Williams who, on 2 November 2009, in response to a request for clarification stated as follows, "If you look closely at our official site, the report from the Watford game details Jay scored not Bap http://www.blackpoolfc.co.uk/page/MatchReport/0,,10432~47327,00.html The stats for soccerbase and our site are provided by PA and for some reason they still haven't changed it!" Also, taken from the next match day programme after he scored against Watford, JET said, "I didn't hear it announced over the tannoy as Alex Batiste scoring so I didn't really know about it. Height[edit]

A number of different options:

1.86 m (6 ft 1 in) - Telegraph
1.88 m (6 ft 2 in) - Soccerway
1.91 m (6 ft 3 in) - Soccerbase and Sky Sports

Or made a footnote to list all value from reliable source. We can't tell which is the correct value as we can't measure it ourselves. We can't tell they made hoax value or not. But with shoes on and without, stand straight or not straight, can affect the value. Also, people use to use a plate to push your hair down, so that hair style can't change your height value. But as we can't measure it, may be using footnote, or stating a rougher rounded up value, or a value that more reliable source to support it.

He should hopefully appear on the squad list for his new club shortly. They include heights. I would always use the most recent official source, which in this case would be the club announcement. 191 cm - 182.8 cm = 8.2cm. Did you mean 0.09 m? I suspect the PTT Rayong announcement has used a height they've got from another source, rather than actually measuring him themselves, so it'd be interesting to see whether this changes once he appears on the squad list. Based on this picture of Jay Emmanuel-Thomas at Bristol City, it's clear that he is easily taller than both Marvin Elliott and Marlon Pack who are listed respectively as 1.85m (6 ft 1) and 1.88m (6 ft 2).
