Images[edit]

I removed one. Is portraying 3 prominent actors in the role still too excessive? GunGagdinMoan 14:23, 12 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Janine 1988[edit]

Janine came to Eastenders in 1988 but she was a Recurring character she then returned in 1989 as main i think that you should change her years to 1988, 1989-1996, 1999-2004, 2008-. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sheep 2009 (talkcontribs) 20:46, 1 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

she first appeared at Frank and Pat's wedding along with Clare Butcher.GunGagdinMoan 21:25, 18 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Which means it was 1989. AnemoneProjectors (talk) 15:43, 19 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox images[edit]

I dont like 3 images in the infobox personally. Should we keep as is, merge the images as has been done on Liam Butcher, or just put Rebecca Michael's image in the text?--GunGagdinMoan 21:25, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I don't like three either. Is this the only other one with three? I did the Liam one as it is because they were both really small images and the article is short, I just put them next to each other and managed to get them almost the same height by adjusting the width. You could try it but it might not be as good as they're both quite square. Otherwise, I say put the Rebecca Michael one in the text. anemoneprojectors talk 21:41, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I think i'll addit it for the text. Shame we have to move Rebecca as she was so much better that the Greek Janine in her time and is more deserving of a place in the infobox :) GunGagdinMoan 21:55, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, she was! anemoneprojectors talk 22:02, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Janine Malloy[edit]

I noticed that next Friday's credits have Janine as Janine Malloy, so I've created a redirect. I had no idea they would marry so soon. Having the redirect already there means the page can't just be moved, which is basically another reason I did it :-) AnemoneProjectors 18:58, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Wish I'd thought of that before this morning's Neighbours fiasco. - JuneGloom07 Talk? 19:21, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hehe! did you know it was going to happen? If a character marries, a redirect is always a good idea. AnemoneProjectors 19:34, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I knew she was getting married and I still didn't think to create a redirect. I've learnt my lesson now though. - JuneGloom07 Talk? 20:36, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I disagree, look at Dot Branning, she's not known as "Dot Cotton" anymore (only by the British tabloids), like Pat Evans, even to this day she is referred to as Pat Butcher again by the British tabloids, now Dot hasn't been known as Cotton for nearly 9 years, and again Pat hasn't been known as Butcher for nearly 15 years, so the point I'm getting at is (sorry to drag on), Janine's page should be "Malloy" like Bianca's should be "Butcher", so in a nutshell just redirect the page --Dweeby123 (talk) 08:36, 16 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Janine is still better known as Janine Butcher. She's only been called Malloy for about 5 minutes. Dot and Pat should probably be at Cotton and Butcher as people still usually refer to them by those names, but it has never been discussed. See also Stacey Slater (not Branning), Tiffany Dean (not Butcher), Bianca Jackson (not Butcher). I also think Denise should be moved back to Fox. Same but different subject, the credits changed the character from Malloy back to Butcher and someone has said she's now Butcher, previously Malloy. Are we going along with this? Do we believe that she's legally changed her name? :D –AnemoneProjectors– 12:26, 2 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Well she is credited as Butcher, so yeah! GSorbyPing! 13:23, 2 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ryans 'illness'[edit]

Is it worth mentioning that what Janine does to Ryan (in the character history section) is essentially Munchausens syndrome by proxy. Viewers might be interested in the syndrome and a link to it could be provided - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M%C3%BCnchausen_syndrome_by_proxy —Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.122.210.87 (talk) 14:24, 19 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Only if there's a reliable source that says Janine is doing that. AnemoneProjectors 18:06, 19 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

6 month leave[edit]

In August 2012 Janine will film her exit which means she will be leaving around September/October 2012 so since she will be back in around April/May 2013 I DON'T think the duration should be changed from 2008- to 2008-2012, 2013-. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.223.185.148 (talk) 13:32, 18 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If the break is under a year then the duration should remain as showing "2008-".--5 albert square (talk) 23:59, 19 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
2.223.185.148, are you User:Sheep 2009? - JuneGloom Talk 00:04, 20 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I asked a question and you blocked the ip address which is not mine but I think it was pritty childish of you and sad and you have way too much time on your hands get back to having a life and when someone asks a question you DON'T block them you reply and be civilised. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.220.66.138 (talk) 01:14, 25 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure it matters now - you have evaded the block regardless. Anyway - I'm not sure you are the best candidate for telling other users how to act. Especially telling JuneGloom to be civil (which she blatantly was) when you cannot manage to do the same yourself. For in the post above you demonstrate exactly why these blocks are handed out in the first place. Everyone has spare time on their hands and we use that to improve articles, while you offer negative jibes.Rain the 1 01:25, 25 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't block you, nor was I uncivil to you. - JuneGloom Talk 01:34, 25 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Janine Moon[edit]

Janine kept her surname as Butcher; all the credits of future episodes list her as such and she signed as Butcher in the wedding episode. Therefore, she is not Janine Moon so this needs to be changed — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.20.189.77 (talk) 20:56, 22 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If any further proof is needed the character page on the Eastenders website has moved Janine in with the Moon family whilst retaining her original name - Janine Butcher. --78.149.45.227 (talk) 11:22, 23 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Oh thanks, that's good to know! –AnemoneProjectors– 12:45, 25 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Do you think we should include something somewhere to let people know that Janine chose to keep her name as Butcher? Could cause some confusion if people are looking at her profile at a glance and not at the family parameter - they would think that she didn't marry Michael. Alex250P (talk) 15:32, 26 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe we could do, yeah. Not sure where though. –AnemoneProjectors– 12:50, 27 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe a short paragraph in the lead, like other characters have talking about her storylines. We could mention her marriages etc. Alex250P (talk) 15:42, 27 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, a small storyline paragraph in the lead would be good, and a mention there of her four marriages. –AnemoneProjectors– 13:16, 28 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I'll add something now. Alex250P (talk) 18:05, 28 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
