I was just watching the HBO special, and after the HBO logo (right before the opening credits), the dedicating "for Sam" appears in plain letters. No date or anything just "for Sam". I looked through Carlin's biography on his main article, but couldn't find any mention of something happening to a "Sam" in the early 90s. If anyone has more information on this, it would probably be a good idea to create a "Trivia" section in this article, starting with this explanation. - Ugliness Man 21:14, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It's almost assuredly a dedication to comedian Sam Kinison, who died earlier that year after being hit by a drunk driver. Warrens 21:39, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
