Role in abolishing slavery in Lower Canada / Canada[edit]

I'm going to add a section on this and a reference in the opening section, but it has been a while since I edited Wiki, so assistance, suggestions, corrections and help with formatting, etc., are welcome. Gregalton (talk) 09:34, 13 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I have added a clarifying word 'unenforceable' to the description of slavery having been rendered 'innocuous', as another editor had noted requires clarification. (I thought it was obvious from the sentence immediately following, but I guess not). Gregalton (talk) 17:38, 24 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
