Sable mentioned in It's My Life[edit]
In the song It's My Life by The Animals, they sing "Though I'm dressed in these rags / I'll wear sable some day". What are they referring to in this instance? Is it cloths made from the animal or was (is?) "Sable" the label of some designer clothing? Jason Quinn (talk) 20:20, 16 December 2009 (UTC)

End of last Verse[edit]
Along with Zombies, Searchers, Them, Stones...we did several Animals songs in my band during 1964-66. There were several songs, we just couldn't detect the proper lyrics and just sang something that sounded phoenitcally like the record. In some cases we inserted something silly just to see whether anyone would catch it. In "Its My Life"...we sang "Lovely women and their fortunes, Who just want to 'mother coffins'. We weren't all that far off. But the last verse had us baffled. "...no comlaints, so girl go out and canada" was what we went with. Now looking at various sources, we get different lyrics....
