The guy in the photo appears to be writing his name on the isogrid panel. This is allowed?

It's over zinc chromate primer on an aluminium structure. Such things have all sorts of notes written on them.
OTOH, he's using a Sharpie. Aerospace fabrication plants working titanium often forbid those going within the building. Chlorinated solvents in felt tip markers can cause cracking in heated Ti parts. This was discovered during the Oxcart program. Andy Dingley (talk) 21:23, 24 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Vulcan orthogrids[edit]

In the Example section it mentions the Vulcan in future tense. If it's still used it should be in present tense Sp epic (talk) 01:15, 12 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
