Ismaïlia → Ismailia – Spelling with dieresis is chiefly French, and only occasionally encountered in English literature. Ngram shows significant prevalence of the variant without diacritics. No such user (talk) 15:37, 4 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Additionally, spelling without the dieresis is used throughout the article. Even the Britannica has it at Ismailia. No such user (talk) 15:40, 4 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

population[edit]

I don't understand how city "including surrounding rural areas" seems to have smaller population than the city itself.
