Easter Rising[edit]

To say the Easter Rising was "short-lived" is a massive understatement - it was a complete failure that lasted barely a week. To say the Rising itself led to the creation of the Irish Free State is arguable as you also have to consider the effects of World War I, the suspension of Home Rule in 1914, the execution of the leaders of the Easter Rising, the failure of the Irish Convention, the Conscription Crisis, the revolutions in Europe etc. (2.103.232.239 (talk) 17:52, 1 August 2015 (UTC))[reply]

Barely a week = short-lived, therefore not an understatement. Complete failure = POV. Set in train ≠ led to the creation of the Free State. I am reverting your edit as unproductive. Scolaire (talk) 06:39, 5 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
