Poison[edit]

About coffee! It's hard to watch this figure becoming poisoned. This little red berrys, so called bird berrys and not coffee originally can't be the whole reason. A story-lining disaster, if some of this red spots are mummys explanation for the early death of Candleless. In which eyes are they in Mr.Penn, I know this man. Nature_world in contrast to civilization builds a marvelous tension field, but, i think you have to reveal the ultimate reason for the positive deadline. I presume you find the film's explanation lacking. From the related articles here, it is clear that he starved to death. The book and film writers each add guess work based on one line from McCandless' writings where he mentions "bad pot. seed". My gues is that he just starved to death, but that both writers wanted/needed to add reasons outside of the simple inevitable death of a well-meaning, but self-centered individual. —MJBurrage(T•C) 02:29, 20 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Spring time comes?[edit]

"Unfortunately, as the spring thaw arrives, he is cut off from civilization by waterways" It could be just the movie I've yet to read the book but when he arrived in Alaska it could not have been winter. Yes there was snow on the ground but there was no snow on the trees also the snow was shown to be very soft. So McCandless must have arrived in spring and when summer came then he was cut off by the river. Also if it would have been winter it would have been dark most of the time because up that far north nights are longer in the winter. Interpretation[edit]

"He realises that nature is also harsh and uncaring." This appears to be an interpretation, not an objective fact about occurances in the movie. "nature" is a vague term that has many interpretations, but given its common vernacular use it doesn't make sense to attribute the property "harsh" or "uncaring" to something that has no will or intention. Nature in this sense is none of these things. lead changes[edit]

I suggest reducing the number of cast members mentioned in the lead paragraph. Most are mentioned in the plot summary, it's not an ensemble cast, and one isn't even notable enough to have his own WP page. Also, the intro lists two different premieres, so one of them needs to be qualified. (At the moment I can't think of the industry terms for different premiere types). More Information On Production?[edit]

I think this is a really great article, but the Production section feels a little underdeveloped. It only features five sentences; one of which is not even about the actual production of the film. I really appreciated the facts that were used and felt that they were relevant, but I would hope to see the page become a little stronger in this particular section.
