Untitled[edit]

This article focuses on the competitive event and not on the concept of impromptu speaking outside of academic competition (such as an award acceptance speech, business remarks given on a moment's notice, informal thoughts articulated). Any way of expanding the article beyond the academic competition? [[[User:75.8.81.159|75.8.81.159]] 11:24, 25 August 2006 (UTC) added afterwards; apologies for not adding it before]

Uh, it's not consolation in NCFCA. Andrewmin (talk) 17:45, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The AFA-NIET uses the 7 minutes divided by speaker discretion format, not 5 prep-5 speech. Not only is this inaccurate, but contradicts the correct information found in the paragraph two paragraphs prior. I'll make the deletion and check for other inaccuracies related to impromptu's competitive aspect. JBPORT (talk) 22:58, 17 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
