Sorry for the delay, so here are some early observations :

Do we have any sort of information on how the song was received? By the critics or the audience? Anyone at all?
Do we have any notable cover versions worth mentioning?
Any sort of information available on the music structure or the background of the lyrics maybe?

The lead could include a sentence or two on the reception of the track (with a separate "Reception" section in the body of course), and can be split into two paragraphs then. NumerounovedantTalk 10:37, 19 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Numerounovedant: Thank you for your concerns. I'll answer them in chronological order. Due to the single's limited release, "If I Close My Eyes" just wasn't really received by critics. From experience, it has always been hard to find significant (and trustworthy, reliable) reviews of a song from this long ago (especially if the song wasn't hugely popular), but I do believe notability has been established as "If I Close My Eyes" was the theme song to a successful film and (this doesn't always help) was released in the physical format.
