  • I propose moving the article to "Idiazabal cheese" (no accent). I was born a few km from the town that gives name to the cheese, and today is the day that I first read the name with an accent. The Spanish wikipedia has it wrong too (I also commented there). Idiazabal is a proper name, and as such, the original spelling should be used. This happens to be Basque, so it bears no accent. It would be understandable to drop the accent from a foreign word that has it, because English has no accents. But to put it into one that does not have it is weird. Please bear in mind that the word is lent to English by Basque, not Spanish (in which the accent would be understandable for the opposite reasons). — isilanes (talk|contribs) 12:03, 8 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think the cheese is always smoked, only just a bit. The smoke is there to keep flies away, not so much as to smoke the cheese. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:981:3A5E:1:B935:9349:E9BD:79B3 (talk) 17:09, 2 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
