Is that description of his death accurate? If he was storming Russian forts at the age of 68 (in the nineteenth century) that is impressive, but does cause me to wonder about the accuracy. --Legis (talk - contributions) 15:46, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The prose was somewhat poorly scraped out of the 1911 EB article on all the Hyde Parkers. It was his son Capt. Hyde Parker IV who was killed, about a month after his father's death, at the battle of Sulina. Choess 19:30, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
