Is it really no. 99 on Billboard i checked billboards official weekly update page and her debut wasn't noted.

September 14, 2006, 11:15 AM ET

Charts+trajectories[edit]

I've deleted the (empty) charts and trajectories, as wikipedia is not a crystal ball. See WP:NOT. It is only appropriate to add the charts and trajectories when the song actually gets charts.~ EmeZxX 08:54, 3 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've gone and deleted the trajectories altogether since they violate what Wikipedia is not. Please do not restore them. Velten 00:58, 28 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

there are no Polish Singles Charts!--Chronisgr 10:51, 4 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hurt is on iTunes[edit]

I removed the digital downloads thing because "Hurt" has been availabe for digital download since the album came out.

is it really out in itunes or not? hurt is such abreat ballad! i hope it reach number 1 of billboard...

"Hurt" has reached number eleven on U.S. iTunes when this song reached number seventy-five on the Hot 100, it's already been released on U.S. iTunes. Kraft. 01:47, 16 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

she feals like she is talking to her father and bananas

Ballad?[edit]

I know this song is a ballad, but there is no existing genre called "ballad". Pop should at least be listed as a genre for this song. Just like there isn't a genre called "power ballad". Power ballad songs are listed under rock sub-genres. Please change it.

Number of charts[edit]

There are WAY TOO MANY charts here. WP:CHARTS says that [t]he number of charts should include no more than ten national charts, and up to ten additional charts, but no more than eighteen charts total. The page also states clearly that trajectories shouldn't be on song pages, so that chart should be removed as well. Since I'm not one of the watchers here, I don't feel like I should be the one to do so, but at least half those stats should be cut out. SKS2K6 06:09, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

ok...we can put away the airplay charts, if there is a single chart..or..?!

why we CANT put trajectories here?? I think it is very useful to know more about how this song perform on charts. PUT IT!! WILL BE APPRECIATED SO MUCH THANK YOU.. =)

yeah..you are right..but only the United world Charts and the Billboard Hot 100 trajectories..

someone needs to take at least half these charts away. I'd like someone who is interested in this article to do it, but if not, I'll go ahead and take away all the unimportant charts. I mean, the Thailand airplay chart? Seriously? Wikipedia is not a source of all human knowledge under the sun. Someone need to pick at most the 18 most important charts and remove the others Guylikeu 18:08, 4 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Since no-one volunteered, I took away all the unnecessary charts. I used Cool (song) as a model, since it is a featured article. There are now 20. If you must add another chart in, then one of the existing ones needs to be removed in it's place.Guylikeu 17:21, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

UK Sales?[edit]

"However, even though it got to #11 on the charts in the UK, it has sold a massive amount of 359,532."

I find this doubtful, very doubtful considering that most songs on the UK chart barely reach 200,000 by the end of their run. Can someone please confirm if this is true - if not please delete, thanks.

Formats[edit]

There is no mention of the Remixes CD and 12" issued in the US. Dollvalley (talk) 18:36, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

article talks about lyrical content without giving source[edit]

I think the text of the lyrics should be cited. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Plinwu (talkcontribs) 16:30, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Any idea on what inspired Christina Aguilera to write this song? -- ADTC Talk Ctrb . 05:31, 2 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Listing Cover section[edit]

The number of covers are significant enough to make a list, especially because most of them are from different versions of The XFactor, so it will make it clearer to understand. --Watquaza (talk) 20:09, 3 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It is needed according to what? "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" has been covered more times than "Hurt", and SL has a concrete section divided in three paragraphs. "Imagine" has been covered more than 140 times and it doesn't has a list of all of them, like somebody did at Beautiful". Why a few covers (almost all of them made by the X Factor participants) should be listed in this article? I recommend you to read Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Embedded lists and WP:LISTS (especially: "Do not use lists if a passage is read easily as plain paragraphs.") to know why this is wrong. Tbhotch. Grammatically incorrect? Correct it! See terms and conditions. 03:41, 4 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
In fact, it's easier to understand "Beautiful" than "Single Ladies". Sure, you can use those examples, but half of other songs in Wikipedia have their covers list as well. In addition, a "plain paragraph" is no more than 6-7 sentences, not 12-20 --Watquaza (talk) 05:09, 4 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Do, according to the Manual of Style in the case of this particular song we should leave it like this. But you should read what is, indeed, a "plain paragraph". --Watquaza (talk) 05:20, 4 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
In my experience, I'm not going to comment more about this. "Consensus" is not made by two people. If somebody wants to discuss here and decide which side is "correct", they will do so. Tbhotch. Grammatically incorrect? Correct it! See terms and conditions. 05:23, 4 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Good idea! "Hurt" has been covered many times by many artists and especially on talent shows 62.1.248.197 (talk) 11:13, 4 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
