Salmon Arm Roots and Blues[edit]

I recently heard this group at Salmon Arm Roots and Blues Festival. I was delighted by the quality of the musicians in this group. However, I could not understand a single word sung by Justin Ringle and the microphone level together with the frequency of his singing were impossible for my decreased hearing (age 74) to pick up. For one hour, I have no idea what he was singing about! Iin addition to this frustrating experience, I found that the bio printed in the Roots and Blues Program guide that I had purchased for $4 was totally out of date. Perhaps one of the performers besides Justin Ringle was listed correctly. No-one else was. Who are these spaced out people led by in an inaudible lead singer who seems to be running the show, while he is accompanied by excellent musicians. Perhaps this is the key to the constant change of names as his accompaning musicians. It also became rather boring to hear his voice repeating the songs one after the other, with no other variation. Get off the podium, Justin, and allow more creativity in your band. Your voice is mediocre and people are getting bored listening to it. The greatest strength of your group is in the wonderful musicianship of your band members. I have no idea how they continue to put up with you!
