Incomplete[edit]

The article fails to cover railway construction under the later colonial period.

Also why is "trusteeship" in scare quote, and what is the intended meaning of the phrase did not animate the French colonial powers to make greater investment in Cameroon's railways ? Oranjblud (talk) 13:15, 16 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

As I've previously indicated, the article is a work in progress. I didn't have time to translate it all in one session, and will finish the translation in due course. "Trusteeship" is just a simile for "Mandate". Most of the League of Nations mandated territories, including Cameroon, were later transformed into one of the United Nations Trust Territories. The intended meaning of the quoted phrase is that the French did not immediately spend much money on the railways in Cameroon. Not surprising really, given that France had just been involved in a very costly four year long war. Bahnfrend (talk) 13:41, 16 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
