Rewrite[edit]

We are going to have to totally rewrite this entire section. I just realized that the person who created it copied it form this page [1]. So, this is going to go under extensive work, so please do not nominate for deletion.--Kranar drogin 20:31, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have traced back the history to Rossp who it seems had many problems with copyright violations. I will rewrite this history so that way it will not be deleted, but any assistance would be great!--Kranar drogin 20:40, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Moving comment from article space[edit]

"In August 1828 a treaty between the US and the Winnebago, Pottawatomie, Chippewa, and Ottawa established a ferry crossing over the Rock River where the road to Fort Clark met the river."

(I believe this paragraph to be in error. The sighted source <4> states fort clark road at the rock river. No match of this description will satisfy a peoria location)
