I've changed the statue date from 1997 to 1984 as per the Yagan article and the statue plaque. Not sure if the 1997 date was significant for another reason. I also found some photos from the NLA [1] about a 1978 Land Rights camp on the Island. Nachoman-au 16:42, 17 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The Statue does indeed date from 1984, but the current head dates from 1997. The original head was cut off and removed by person or persons unknown, as was a replacement. The current head looks different to the original one, as it is apparently based upon a study of the real skull, which was returned to WA immediately before the vandalism. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.39.162.130 (talk) 09:14, 23 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Linking South Perth[edit]

The Causeway does not link Perth and South Perth, that's done by the Narrows Bridge. Gordon | Talk, 11 June 2006 @12:46 UTC

Peaceful Protest?[edit]

The protestors were throwing rocks at passing boats. I don't think that quite fits the definition of "peaceful protest". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.161.78.193 (talk) 05:35, 24 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Refugee camp[edit]

I'm not happy with the section title "refugee camp" [2] - scare quotes are always a problem, and it may have non-neutral connotations - but I can't think of anything better at the moment. Suggestions for a better title are welcome. Mitch Ames (talk) 02:49, 3 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
