Comments Part 2[edit]

1. Why is there any mention of Brookline, Penfield, Ardmore etc? 2. The history of Haverford Township is separate from the history of this zip code. Havertown and Haverford Township are not interchangeable. 3. Historic roads also needs to be removed, Havertown and Haverford are not the same thing, Haverford Road is located in Wynnewood, Ardmore and Bryn Mawr, NOT in Havertown.User:Mjp1305 16:54, 1 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sixth Sense?[edit]

This article states a "large" partof the Sixth Sense was filmed in Havertown. To my knowledge none of it was. It was filmed nearby, but where in Havertown was any of this filmed? There was no part of the finished film "The Sixth Sense" filmed in Havertown or Haverford Township. I grew up in havertown. The story when "The Sixth Sense" came out was that the scene where the kid and Bruce Willis' character are on the bus going to the memorial wake was filmed on Darby Road in Havertown. But it has been a number of years since I last saw the movie. It could not be described as a "large" part of the film. If being in a 20 second scene of a movie is notable enough, maybe it should be mentioned that in April 1996, then Presidential candidate Bob Dole visited the town. While saying a "large portion" of the Sixth Sense was filmed in Havertown is completely false, I can attest that the birthday party scene was indeed for a Haverford Middle School student and my understanding was that it was filmed at his house. --173.62.160.138 (talk) 00:05, 15 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Notable People[edit]

Under "Notable People", James Rolfe is stated to be from (or reside in) Havertown, but I have found no evidence of this on his Wikipedia page, other than that he lived in "Philadelphia", and there is no citation attached. This article is pretty much wrong[edit]

Where to start..... 1. History: This is the history of Haverford Township, NOT Havertown, this is a direct contradiction of the first section, stating: " The name "Havertown" does not appear until the advent of the ZIP Code in the early 1960s..." How can the history, going back to the 1600's have anything to do with "Havertown"?
