Reform UK[edit]

A HBC councillor has joined Reform UK. Can somebody update the article for this?

Merger Proposal[edit]

I propose we merge the article for the borough into this one for the council. Unlike most other towns with a borough and town article the population of Hartlepool's borough is roughly 96% in the town itself (defined as the Built-up area). Which is greater than other towns like York and Sheffield which only have one article. Eopsid (talk) 18:04, 14 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support reverse merge for the same reasons as at Talk:Darlington Borough Council#Merger Proposal. Crouch, Swale (talk) 19:05, 14 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support reverse merge per CS above but to the same effect. Council should be merged into Borough article. Koncorde (talk) 00:12, 26 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support reverse merge - seems anomalous having separate article for council, it should just be a section within article on borough. Drerac (talk) 16:25, 2 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose: By the logic of percentages that the proposer proposes, the City of London should be reverse merged with London, as the former takes up 0.1% of the area of the latter. UaMaol (talk) 05:22, 9 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
    • Not really a comparable situation, the Borough of Hartlepool contains all of Hartlepool's Built-up area. The city of London and Greater London do not. Eopsid (talk) 11:09, 9 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
