Harlingen, Texas[edit]

The Wiki page of Harlingen, Texas doesn't quote Frisian immigration as a reason for naming the city after Harlingen, the Netherlands. On the contrary, it gives another reason, the vision of the founder of the city: "Harlingen's strategic location at the intersection of U.S. highways 77 and 83 in northwestern Cameron County fostered its development as a distribution, shipping, and industrial center. In 1904 Lon C. Hill envisioned the Arroyo Colorado as a commercial waterway. He named the town he founded on the north bank after the city of Harlingen, Netherlands." The sentence about Harlingen, Texas in this article is therefore suspect, especially as no source is quoted. Pensées de Pascal (talk) 09:18, 21 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
