Name is wrong?[edit]

According to the official site AND the actual album cover, the album is called Harder.....Faster with 5 dots and no spaces. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Glandrid (talkcontribs) 01:14, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No one wants to comment on this? I'd fix it myself, but I've never moved an article before. Glandrid (talk) 18:09, 4 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I fully agree, and have often pondered over this many times myself. Seeing as we are both on the same page, and nobody else is speaking up, I might as well be WP:BOLD and just deal with the issue right now... done -- WikHead (talk) 04:53, 5 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
On second thought, I am now being told that the five-dot-name version is on the title blacklist and cannot be moved. Nonetheless, you can still request the move at "move requests" if you wish to continue your pursuit. Good luck! -- WikHead (talk) 05:11, 5 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I made the request. Now we play the waiting game, I suppose. Thanks for your help. Glandrid (talk) 21:39, 6 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
WTF! My request keeps disappearing over and over! Glandrid (talk) 23:44, 6 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, never mind, I misunderstood how to list things, but I think I got it now. Glandrid (talk) 00:18, 7 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
When I encountered that move-error, I was attempting to rename to "Harder ..... Faster" with a single space on either side of the dots (which differs in style from your move-request). This MAY have been part of the error issue. Regardless, I'm sure the folks at move-requests will figure it out... if they accept your request. Good luck, again! -- WikHead (talk) 01:35, 7 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Harder ... FasterHarder.....Faster

  • Proposing this move due to the fact that both the album cover and the official website list the album in question as 'Harder.....Faster' as opposed to the Wikipedia article which lists it as Harder ... Faster. I would perform the move myself as there is no opposition to the move, however the five dot title is apparently title blacklisted.   Glandrid (talk) 00:17, 7 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • This unusual number of dots in an ellipsis looks like one of the advertizing typographical features that WP:MOSTM tells us to ignore. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 13:35, 7 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose The only professional review of this album listed on the article, Allmusic, lists it as "Harder...Faster". 84.92.117.93 (talk) 17:11, 7 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Should it not be listed as what the creators called it? And one review is hardly enough, in my opinion. Here is April Wine's official store where it is listed correctly: http://www.aprilwine.ca/April%20Wine%20-%20Discography%20-%20Harder_____Faster.htm -- Glandrid (talk) 18:53, 7 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comments - I'm supportive of whatever is correct, and in my opinion, the current three-dot version is not correct. If the title is to have any dots at all, that number is clearly five, and not three. I don't believe the dots were ever intended to be an actual ellipsis (or play on the ellipsis) as such, but will spare you all the trivia of how the album got its name in the first place. Had I created this article myself, I would have simply called it "Harder Faster" (without any punctuation), to match the way it's spoken and most commonly written in everyday/casual use. I doubt the majority of users looking for the article would include any punctuation in their search criteria, but thankfully, we do have a simplified Harder Faster redirect in place that addresses that particular issue. In a nutshell, I believe five-dots or no dots is acceptable, while three-dots severely lacks accuracy. A three-dots version will always be a day late and a dollar short despite any after-market stylistic concerns. -- WikHead (talk) 03:01, 8 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. The title appears to be "Harder (ellipsis) Faster". The choice of five dots is a typographical one. We tend to stick to the usual three-point ellipsis here. 81.111.114.131 (talk) 00:52, 22 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Le Studio[edit]

The article says April Wine's Harder ... Faster was "recorded at Le Studio, outside of Toronto, Ontario". This is incorrect: Le Studio, which is no longer in operation, was in Morin Heights, Quebec, in the Laurentian Mountain region north of Montreal. Check Wikipedia article on Le Studio to verify. 67.68.163.6 (talk) 02:38, 26 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
