Untitled[edit]

Does anyone know anything about the family of Hans Hahn? I need information ASAP por favor!

Crisis in Intuition[edit]

Hahn claimed that the relation of mathematical concepts to intuition or perception results in logical contradictions. However, without an intuitional or perceptual basis, mathematics may be a mere manipulation of symbols performed mindlessly without understanding.Lestrade 23:50, 21 October 2006 (UTC)Lestrade[reply]

Hebrew name[edit]

Why is his name given in Hebrew, too? He was Jewish, but he lived all his life in Austria and Germany, and I doubt he spoke much Hebrew. I'll remove the Hebrew name unless there's a good reason to include it.--Victor Chmara (talk) 00:16, 28 November 2009 (UTC) /n where does it say he is jewish??[reply]

Curriculum Vitae of Hahn[edit]

I added the facts as stated (in German) in http://daten.digitale-sammlungen.de/0001/bsb00016325/images/index.html?fip=193.174.98.30&id=00016325&seite=522 and translated them to the English language. I think the Curriculum Vitae of Hahn in English is now more complete than its German Wiki-version and therefore I will remove the translation tag. Of course, everybody will appreciate new facts or newly consolidated facts. The weblinks and the list of Hahn's publications should be copied, too, from the German version! Karl Popper[edit]

Karl Popper was a student of Hans Hahn, in 1921/22. He didn't do his PhD with him, though. Karl Popper wrote an introduction to the collected works of Hans Hahn: Zum Gedenken an Hans Hahn, Erinnerungen eines dankbaren Schülers. I'm not sure where to put this in. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.12.12.238 (talk) 18:47, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
