The Hey Dad!... connection[edit]

This article claims that Julie McGregor continued to play Betty Wilson on Hey Dad...! while Hampton Court was being made, while the Hey Dad...! article says that production of the parent show was interrupted while Hampton Court was being produced -- which isn't the same thing. The latter strikes me as more likely, but does someone have a better source for either version than the IMDB (which pushes the interruption theory)? Gusworld (talk) 04:20, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The first 4 eps of Hampton Court aired on the same weeks as the last 4 eps of Hey Dad Season 5. This made it seem like both shows were in production at the same time, which was not the case. Hey Dad was well ahead with their production, already having several eps in the can, but Seven Network executives chose to air Hampton Court & Hey Dad simultaneously, even though HC was recorded during HD's post-Season 5 break.
