Houses Song[edit]

Was the song he made in Junior-High really an original, or did the show just use an existing piece? I cant tell so far but I'm looking into it. Does anyone know the actual piano piece that the character House says is his in "Half-wit"? Just trying to figure out if it is a real piece.

In the commentary to Half-Wit on the DVD Boxset, David Shore and Katie Jacobs explain that House's song is an original piece, written by John Ehrlich, the series' composer, when he was in high school. Quinnfeld (talk) 12:12, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

From a technical standpoint, there is indeed a third movement.

Actually, the article says Dave Matthews plays the paino AND the guitar. It is possible for people to do both. We can tag the claim here with {{dubious}} or just strike it, pending a reference. It can't stay there as is. --Steven Fisher 19:51, 19 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

High school yearbook[edit]

I'm pretty sure that House's yearbook couldn't be Hugh Laurie's actual yearbook. Generally British schools don't have yearbooks, it's an American custom - and in addition, HL went to an all boys' school (Eton) and there is a girl pictured in it. Chord with the piano[edit]

Eye/hemisphere mistake[edit]

Mistake in both the show ("his right side [of the brain] has always sucked") and in the explanation contained previously. The right eye feeds information to both sides of the brain. The right primary cortex (in the occipital lobe) is responsible for the left hemifield-- the left visual half of the world. I Don't Like Mondays[edit]

Any inclination to add to the article that the first song that House played, and that Dave Matthews' character repeated, was the introduction to the song "I Don't Like Mondays" by the Boomtown Rats?

Removal of sourced information[edit]

Since TenPoundHammer (talk · contribs) refuses to discuss differences of opinion on talk pages, and I don't wish to edit war by repeatedly reverting his edits, I am opening up discussion here. I believe removal of sourced information is inappropriate, even if mentioned in another article, and even if TenPoundHammer disputes that a source is reliable.
