1915 vs 1916[edit]

@Llammakey: Hi! Either this link is wrong here, or all the others. See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:WhatLinksHere/HMS_Glowworm_(1915), what is the source which proves 1916? 89.132.194.169 (talk) 21:40, 11 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The ship was launched in 1916, therefore the link is to 1916 because according to WP:SHIPS, the disambiguation is by launch year. Your argument is supported by a template being wrong. Please read WP:RS, WP:NCSHIPS before making further changes to Wikipedia. Llammakey (talk) 11:53, 12 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Llammakey: I do not know what wrong template you are talking about. There is a reference in this article, as well as in the insect class gunboat article as well. If you accept all the launch time given in that reference for the other ships, then why dont you accept 1915 as the correct launch for this one? where is this 1916 is coming from? 2001:4C4C:20A1:C400:0:0:0:1000 (talk) 12:19, 12 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Stop pinging me. The talk page is watchlisted. The template is the Insect-class gunboat template, where you got your claim that all the other articles state it was 1915. The only place where the HMS Glowworm (1915) is linked in all the other articles is via the template. As for the date, which was your problem not mine, Colledge and Warlow, p. 266 state the ship was launched on 5 February 1916. I will change the template so you don't get your underwear in a hitch going forward. Next time, you bring sources to back up your claims. That's how WP:BRD works.
