The results for the final don't make any sense. The bronze medalist is tied with the gold medalist on the A score and surpasses the silver medalist on the A score. The bronze medalist surpasses the gold medalist and the silver medalist on the B score and the vault score. What gives? 69.204.74.75 (talk) 04:36, 19 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Only one vault was shown for each of the gymnasts at the time you asked. Both vaults are now on the table. Cheng's first vault was indeed the best among the first vaults, but she took a bit of a spill on the second. Because the scores from the two vaults are averaged, that put her down to third place and a bronze medal. -- Jonel (Speak to me) 05:27, 19 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This article really needs a mention of the controversy behind the scoring of Cheng Fei's second vault; as has been widely reported, she was not deducted the full number of points and the bronze (in many peoples' opinion) should have been Sacramone's75.50.148.21 (talk) —Preceding undated comment was added at 06:21, 19 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
